Generally speaking, when I use the term “changemaking,” I mean people coming together to identify problems/opportunities and design solutions that have a positive impact on everyone involved. It’s sector-agnostic. And changemaking requires collaboration. It’s a team sport. Unfortunately, we often throw student, organizational, cross-organizational, and community teams together and don’t build the necessary foundation necessary for success. In “Toolkit 01: Building Our Changemaking Team” (see image) I’ve included five super helpful tools to help you build your team. But it’s not just about building the right team in the right way. As we know, teams get off track all the time for myriad reasons. In “Toolkit 02: (Re) Calibrating Our Team’s Efforts” (see image) I’ve included eight great tools to help you check in with your team. These can also be helpful when you’re building your team. Use these tools together as a team to give everyone agency and ownership.
